FABRICATION AND CARE
This skirt is made from a luxurious hemp/organic cotton (GOTS certified) blend, dyed with Oeko-tex certified dyes. Hemp ages naturally, becoming softer and taking on a vintage look with wear.
The pockets and internal binding are Curpo, a 'vegan silk' made from cottonseed linter. Cupro is a great lining fabric as it breathes, is anti-static and allows for comfort as a lining fabric. Find out more about our materials in our page on Fabrications.
The buttons are made from Tagua Nut, a seed of palm trees, and is also known as vegetable ivory. These have been custom dyed in Melbourne, Australia to match each of our fabrics.
Our zips are locally sourced in Melbourne, Australia. We are working towards sourcing more eco friendly zips such as recycled/organic cotton, as we grow and we are able to meet minimum quantities required.
We recommend that you hang your skirt outside to freshen up after use. This helps keep it fresh and ready to wear, without having to wash it after each use, reducing water, power, waste and your own energy.
